WhatsApp - recently got hit with A Status Unavailable Error Message. The Status of all the contacts has been swapped with the message "Error : Status Unavailable". The Situation is even much more worse because of the chain of messages circulating in the whatsapp network.

Sending Messages via WhatsApp Will Cost you Money ?

The Message you might be receiving might look like this

"Hello everyone, it seems that all the warnings were real, the use of WhatsApp cost money from summer 2012. If you send this string to 18 different on your list, your icon will be blue and will be free for you. If you do not believe me see tomorrow at 6 pm ending WhatsApp and have to pay to open it, this is by law This message is to inform all of our users, our servers have recently been very congested, so we are asking your help to solve this problem. And check now the status of every individual contact is showing : Status : error"

Talking About the Whatsapp Status Unavailable error message still nothing is confirmed,It can be considered as a small bug and the whatsapp team might be working on it to fix the issue soon,Whatsapp users can expect an update which will resolve the issue of Whatsapp Status Unavailable Error message.

That message is a hoax and did not come from WhatsApp.  Please disregard the message and do not resend it.
We do not use WhatsApp to mass message our user base, nor would we ever send you a message advertising gifts or asking you to forward a message to your contacts."

Whatsapp status Unavailable Error Message has been fixed, You can now see your friends status correctly without any error message.It has been confirmed that the error message was a server problem which was affecting status messages.You will be amazed to know that the whatsapp status unavailable error message has disappeared now,there is no official confirmation about the fix yet.You do not need to update or re-install whatsapp.

Now the chain of messages will stop as whatsapp have confirmed all those messages are hoax and didn't came from Whatsapp.

 UPDATE:
The error message again showed up for some users. Whatsapp team is working to solve this status unavailable error message.Still large number of whatsapp users are facing the issue, but sending and receiving  messages via whatsapp is working absolutely fine.
